JIRA plug-in for a service desk
JIRA plug-in for a service desk associated with the Salesforce system.

The project involves the development of a JIRA plug-in for a service desk of the customer's sports portal (Online Casino) associated with the Salesforce system. Namely, the deployment of the service desk on the server and setting up the mail.


TASK

Deploy the service desk on the server and configure the mail:

  • Arrange the receipt of reply-to messages from the mail, block other messages;
  • Merge customers of the organization by the domain address.

Solution

JIRA plug-in was implemented for a service desk of the sports portal, that automatically receives the library and replaces the classes processing from the mail with the developed ones. This solves the problem of receiving reply-to messages.

An Event listener is used to solve the issue with adding customers to the organization. It catches the user creation events, creates a new organization (if it does not exist in the system), and adds this user to the organization. That is, if the support service receives a message from a new person with the same mail domain, he is automatically added to this organization.
